If you don't know what kyc means it's "Know Your Customer" generally used by financial institutions and businesses to make sure there's no fraud or money laundering going on. The thing about is it's pushed on almost EVERY service you use online and not just financial ones (which is understandable) but does social media really need kyc? like do i really need to hand over my phone number every time i wanna open an account? It seems that all of this shit is just being used to collect more aggregate user data to sell to third party advertisers and feed algorithms.
