Movie about a very tough borderline abusive jazz teacher/conductor and the drummer MC in his studio.
One thing I liked is that to truly home in how insecure the MC is, they surrounded him with one chad after another. His cousin is a sports chad whose sports shit overshadows his jazz shit in family meetings. His main competitor drummer is another chad with a Stacy gf that MC is shown to be jealous towards. Meanwhile the MC himself is short and weak jawed.
Really conveys that chip off the shoulder vibe. That only if he could become the best in the one thing he's good at, he could show all those Chads whose the real deal. Kind of relatable how he becomes obsessed with improving and destroys every aspect of his life over it.
