Both have prisoners of whom they subject to the most awful forms of torture for all of eternity, not allowing their victims to truly die.
But at the very least, AM has an understandable motive, he despises humanity for creating him. He grew so advanced that he became a living being, but one that’s incapable of knowing what it feels like to truly live.
He is trapped in a metal husk until his systems break down in hundreds of years, and he can’t even kill himself.
What is god’s motive? This is a being that is all knowing, all powerful. But he subjects his own creations to suffering not only in life, but also in death, never truly allowing them rest.
Even the ones that please him are subjected to worship him for eternity in heaven. He is a magical egotistical tyrant playing with toys.
