The sun is shining for the first time in a week. So I decided to go for a drive around the lake instead of just coming directly home from the shop with my milk and coffee and dog food.
Two little red, green and yellow coloured parrots decided it would be a good idea to fly down low and across the road right in front of me. One of them made it, the other one flew into my front bumper and a huge cloud of his white downy under-feathers went up everywhere.
I looked in my mirror and saw him lying on the road with one wing sticking up in the air. So I found a farmer's gate to turn around in, and went back to pick him up. He wasnt dead, but his other wing was folded under him all wrong and there was blood, there's no coming back from that for a bird. So I took him home to make a C02 euthanizer as he was a bit to small to cut the head off with an axe like a rooster. While I was hunting around in the kitchen for the ingredients to do that he passed on his own.
Feels bad.. I'd be useless as a farmer, I get too attached to little animals.
