Discussion Which of the following two situations makes your social skills worse?

Between getting bullied and turned into an lolcow, or complete utter isolation from society, theoretically or otherwise, which of the two nukes your social skills the most?

I’ve experienced both. The bullying led me to shutting myself in during high school. Then I fell into NEETdom after graduating. I don’t think one is worse, rather a cause and effect

But I'm talking hypothetically, like if you were in isolation in the first place with neither positive nor negative reinforcement

Probably social isolation. You have 0 chance to develop social skills. If you’re bullied in school, there is a chance you might be able to socialize with other cels, whether you become friends or not.

Neither for me. It was just seeing looks are everything, I don't have them, and it's all pointless because I refuse to be a betabux, people pleaser, jester, any oofy doofy stuff. So, isolation is the best and effectively only option.
