I avoid them as much as I can these days, as these meaningless gatherings only bring me regret, humiliation, and embarrassment. Everyone in my extended family is doing better than me, and they have this despicable propensity to tactlessly flaunt their success in my face; these fools seem completely incapable of theory of mind. When my life finally comes to an end in the glorious fashion that I have planned, I sincerely hope they look back at all the moments in which they treated me in such a humiliating and uncaring manner.
