In my opinion?
I think it used to be a huge percentage but now I think that a lot of them are subconsciously insecure about it but have plenty of nerdy copes.
I'd say a small percentage hit a wall of self hate and then retaliate with insecurity.
Very few are proud of it to the point of being numb to it.
