What monitor should I buy? Is more than 60fps worth the extra pay for offline, non-competitive games?

Just built my pc:
i5 12400
16gb ddr5 5200
RTX 4060

What kind of monitor should I buy?

I got myself used lg 144hz for cheap many years ago it still works fine i don't need anything better. But it has pretty bad color vibrancy since it's a VA instead of IPS or LED/OLED. It doesn't really matter to me since i don't want shadows to be super dark in most games anyway it's annoying even in a SP games i would just use reshade to bright them up anyway :feelsLSD:But overall normal colors feel kinda bleak when compared to my phone IPS screen.

Monitor 27" Philips 273V7QDSB/00 IPS, 1920x1080 (Full HD) 4ms

Isn't 27" too big for 1080p?
Its perfect imo, my brother has it. Ips angles and colors are superb for this price and its a good brand, for barely over 100 eur. Bestbuy imo. Theres 144hz 24 inch ips in the same price range, if you want higher refresh rate.

Why not a WQHD monitor at that size ?
Its cheaper. I dont know how exactly fast is 4060, for me with my rx 6600 going above 1080p has huge impact on either quality or fps. Using upscaling makes picture quality grainy. I think its a better choice higher setting than higher resolution. But youre right, if he can afford it, he should choose bigger size and bigger resolution that he can get.

Yeah. I bought a 27inch WQHD Monitor 144hz from Samsung and its pretty good. Was a bit expensive but worth it

60fps is good enough

60fps is good enough
For mahjong or framelocked games only. For anything else you want 144fps. And even those can get higher fps through frame gen.
