Actually, most people can't get SSDI out of school. In order to get SSDI, you'd have to have worked for a substantial amount of time (though there are some weird cases where an 18 year old can qualify for one of his parent's SSDI.)

Most who haven't worked have to get the cheaper SSI, if they're lucky.
