More like '60s and '70s due to Civil Rights Era and end of Jim Crow and racial segregation and society becoming more liberal or left-wing since then. This was also the rise of black music like rock n' roll and blues, and eventually funk and disco music, and those decade would be the start of the culture war we see today.

Yeah on conservative sites a lot of presumably boomer age posters say that the 1980s were the last decade where you had the old stereotypical type of America with mostly white people, white culture and bland food. That being said in the 1980s there was nostalgia for the even more socially conservative society of the 1950s but they never went back to the more "innocent" times of then tbh
