Seriously I tried watching Urusei Yatsura (2022) and after watching 9 episodes I'm going to drop it because this shit is boring, unfunny and uninteresting as fuck. I literally can't watch it for more than 2 minutes without pausing it to check my phone because it's insufferable, the "comedy" moments are terrible and the characters are all sterotypes without any development. But I dunno what I expected from moe anime, I never liked this genre anyways. Tried watching Little Witch Academia, dropped it after 3 episodes. Super Sonico I lasted 2 episodes. Sakurasou 1 episode before determining it was garbage kek. Sakura Trick I watched that whole thing in 2014 because I was stubborn and hated it. Nagatoro was more insufferable weeaboo trash and like an idiot I watched the whole thing thinking it would get better. I always think "this time it's going to be different, there must be a reason why it's so popular" but then I'm disappointed again by moeshit anime.

Why is moe so popular and why does it seem the majority of weebcels love it? If you just care about waifus watch ecchii which has tiddies and panty shots and no kidding I had a much better experience with ecchii anime (To Love Ru, Monster Musume, etc.) than moe, the characters were more charming and the comedy was better. But tbh almost every anime nowadays has waifus, you don't have to watch shitty moe for that. I imagine the average moe enjoyer as the stereotypical fat neckbeard weeb, chugging Monster Energy and stuffing his gullet with Doritos and Takis, binge watching moe anime on his gaming monitor while snorting like a pig every time the female character does something "kawaii" or funny kek.

the only moe anime that i ever actually liked was mitsudomoe

I think that the only moe anime I liked was Blend S. And the anime of the dragon maid (forgot the name) was okayish too but it was more comedy than moe.

K-on! is better, watch it

I don't like all anime, some are good some are bad. The lighthearted sitcom types are probably the most cringe but you can sometimes turn your brain off to watch some ecchi/hentai for the porn factor alone. The dark edgy ones like Berserk and Death Note have more interesting storylines overall and don't adhere to tropes as much. Shonens tend to be a mix of the two which is why they are the most popular among normies, mixing tension with tropes and silly fights is what most people think about when they hear the word ''anime''.

I dont think I've ever watched more than 3 episodes of a moe anime

What is your definition of moe? Because I would never classify Nagatoro as moe (granted I haven't seen the show).

I liked Kill la Kill and Gurrenn Lagan tho
Don’t we all

Some of the shows you listed aren’t even moe. They’re slice of life/romcoms. Basically, your ADHD zoomer brain can’t stomach a show if it doesn’t have le epic action and violence to keep you from falling asleep or checking your phone, and that’s fine, but little witch academia is good shit so your contempt for these kinds of shows (which, btw, encapsulates most anime in 2022 from how you described them) is questionable

I had a phase where I watched it quite a bit, I think it's a particular mindset one has to be in. Like being severely deprived of female interaction yet still vulnerable to feminine charm; in essence replacing SIMPing for 3d women with more appealing 2d girls.

But just like I got sick of generic shonenshit I eventually became too blackpilled for moe/romance anime. I still occasionally watch/read some SOL like non non biyori or yostuba, or action like Texhnolyze or Berserk, since they have a more unique theme and charm. Otherwise it requires too much wading through the shit to find the few remaining gems.

I only like moe arts and gifs, because they are cute. I hate screaming anime girls, they hurt my ears

I didn't even know they relaunched it.

I just don't understand why you're here complaining about it spanish =/

You're experienced enough to know that there's different animes for different moods so if something doesn't click ATM you just shelve it to try again later and try something else that does click.

I used to do that all the time, rotated around until something gripped me.

There's never any formula for it you just fuck around with a half dozen shows until something settles in.

Maybe it's not a harem waifu anime like UY maybe it's something violent. Maybe it's something mystery.

Can't go 100% coomer all the time, doesn't mean it's Lum's fault bro maybe she's just not for this season.

sometimes I go full dark mode for a long time before I can enjoy the happy slice of lief waifu stuff. Sometimes you need to decompress from some tropes before they feel fresh again.

I literally can't watch it for more than 2 minutes without pausing it to check my phone because it's insufferable
unplug your phone chad, or do something else, why would you be forcing yourself to watch something that's not clicking?

You're just not in the right bluepill mindset but the time will come again

in the meantime go watch Golgo or Monster or whatever dark srs stuff you haven't seen

you prob just have too much moeblob it does happen even for massive lolicons like us

anything will get stale, and there's not a hard line of delineation between moe and ecchi

how is it that Urusei Yatsura isn't classified as ecchi, did they change it?

I've always tried watching moe and being open minded thinking this time will be cool but no everytime I find it boring, I dunno why I keep doing it. And no it's not ecchii because even if Lum walks around in bikini all the time there are no panty shots or other ecchii moments. Just moe.

High IQ Post :bigbrain: It all depends on your current mood. Sometimes I just go cold turkey on anime and just read manga instead. But I eventually come back. Same for movies and books. This season I liked Chainsaw Man (degenerate, bloody and sick animation), Bleach (Nazi Jesus vs Imperial Japan), Mob Psycho 100 (Esper goes ER), Bocchi the Rock (kinda like K-On), Eminence in Shadow (sigma volcel chuunibyou becomes dark justicier), Mobile Suit Gundam Witch from Mercury (Robotshits), Raven of the Inner Palace (slow Chinese historical drama), Isekai Ojisan (blackpilled reverse isekai) and Akiba Maid Wars (Yakuza but maids). For ecchi shows Peter Grill and Futoku no Guild were nice.

my guess is it has something to do with weed

hell I've gone just western toons or even jsut western live-action or even reading novels

western toons
It’s too bad the new generations only like anime. Looney Tunes is basically a whole genre of brilliant comedy and art that the world forgot. Old anime pioneers like Osamu Tezuka studied masters like Tex Avery. Hell Dave Chappelle cited Bugs Bunny as his biggest influence.

the only anime i like is astroboy everything else is rubbish

You cant handle real anime

It's a good cope sometimes, like that Kotaro series
In the Spanish forum forocoches there was a weeb named Kotaro. He was a retarded flamer who insulted everybody, made bait threads and had an average of 100 messages per day. Insane.

it is a good cope to see something chill and happy. after hardcore 12 hours wageslavery

I prefer to see ppl fighting and blowing shit up or something with adventure. Don't you get bored of watching the same tropes? You know the school festival, the beach episode, that celebration with yukata and fireworks, etc. Every genre has tropes but in slice of life moe it's so exaggerated.

true that shit does get boring. I spread it out with some action stuff and more gory or violent shows in between sometimes.

I didn't even know they remade it.
Not all moe is made the same though.
Think of how some fighting anime is good and other fighting anime is bad.

It tries too hard and lacks subtlety.
But I enjoy both.

Have you tried Minami-ke?

Fanservice doesn't need to be blatant.
