I kind of get what you are saying. Despite being a NEET who rots alone 95% of my time, I still find that the things I enjoy most are the brief periods I spend with my friends. I wish I could enjoy vidya and anime as copes more than I do. I read a lot which is my favourite cope, but I don't think that is any better that anime or vidya, it's just different. At the end of the day we are meant to be social and active most of our lives, that is what we are built for, but the reality on the ground just sucks. There is nothing out there in the world for us.
