I was discussing with a few people about the recent quiz we had taken. They said "we did not know we had to memorize all these terms" (???). I said about the particular one in question "yes it was such and such substance." Then one of them said "and you wrote that?" — to which I replied yes. And he said "kill yourself, I hope you die terribly."

On some level this had to be sarcasm, but I've heard more sarcastic tones before. He seemed genuinely angered. And then they mocked me further talking to the TA, saying "we didn't know we had to memorize all this, apparently someone did." Another great look for the centers of intellect. The question was not even hard, remembering the term names is bare minimum—pathways are what's actually hard. Elite students getting outjerked by literal fill in the blanks JFL.

Why are normies like this, they think they are cool and edgy for not studying and saying "kill yourself" knowing they can play it off as "a joke" (and how would you respond to that anyway). I am so done with everything and not having a girlfriend, it's intolerable. And these people all have gf's btw.

I am, four hard years of biochem/life sciences. Only bad news is that field really requires even more education (can't start working right away). But I'm too tired to get into what that entails right now.
