Most movies suck tbh, you cannot simply replicate super mario, sonic, uncharted, hitman or any other videogame in a movie adaptation.

Movies cannot capture that interaction that makes these videogames so distinct. I prefer series than movies because at least it fleshes out well established themes and characters. Hollywood movies always feel so rushed to appeal to popcorn cuck demographic.

Even average videogames are still more appealing than movies because you're assured of interaction and some level of engagement. An average movie sucks arse period which is essentially most films that normies obsess about, an that is the difference :whatfeels: .

and thats more engaging than any 2 hr dogshit hollywood trash even the worst games that drag on forever.

of course its more appealing its a movei but you can control it

Compare & contrast
Movies:
-
Cinematography
- Linear storytelling

Videogames:
-
Interactive
- Set pieces that are now just as epic
- Exploration
- Narrative
- Branching paths
- Challenge
- Catharsis

10% movies are good most of them are just dumb. Just like in games.

Even ww2 war movies are dogshit they don't use real tactics, they focus on dramatic and fake stories with characters that are just caricatures, and you won't even see real tanks of that era fighting just poorly made roleplaying often much younger tanks camouflaged as ww2 tanks

this was supposed to be panther :lul: If you are that lazy you shouldn't be making ww2 movies

At least Spielberg made roleplaying T-34 into more believable Tiger while using smart wide lenses and cool wooden fake armor which looks like a more slimmer Tiger, so it's a good compromise, but some day there should be a movie made with faithfully recreated original tanks.

It’s hard for videogame writing to measure up to a dedicated storyline unless it’s like an adventure game or visual novel. Not much freedom.

But at the same time a mediocre video game story can hit as hard as a good TV/novel/whatever storyline when you’re actively experiencing the events and conflicts that play out.

I think movies are just meant to be style over substance slop. The point to portray cutting edge visuals and raw emotions so you feel as much dopamine as possible.

But because there’s no time for real buildup, the moments of kino just don’t have as much impact as that big episode in a TV series or that one moment in an RPG or smth where it clicks most times

this is why sony has popularized those tranny movie games to appease your normie ass. Movies and games both are very different medium

I rarely watch movies tbh. They're just not as engaging for me as vidya.

They made a Minecraft movie ffs. Hollywood makes anything that sells into a trash movie. I don't like most movies, can never get invested an I'm always clock watching waiting for it to be over.

Series are better but I don't get any joy from anything tbh due to years of depression from being a reclusive loser in life. I'm incapable of positive emotions so my perspective is distorted, but I still prefer videogames and documentaries.

Duck story based games games focusing on story is what ruined gaming since gameplay take a back seat

Same reason I'm not much into Netflix or TV series, with very few exceptions.

Are you saying you'd want to see a Stardew Valley movie?

No what I am saying is video games are better form of entertainment and I don't understand why norime want more movie games since there barely any gameplay but cozy games have gameplay in it but they suck compared to Stardew valley

T-34 was a cool movie

My exceptions are generally HBO stuff, most Netflix are absolute trash. Since I got my own place recently I've watched more movies than ever to give them a fair chance.

I can't say I've enjoyed 1 movie since, I'm always left underwhelmed. Some are critically acclaimed then I watch them and think wtf did I just watch. So many shit modern horrors for instance that leave no impression on me but boredom. Normies piss themselves in fear to the shit thats considered horror and thats why they keep producing them.

I don't watch many movies because I have a terrible attention span. I've watched one show on Netflix in the last five years and that was Squid Game. I know it's popular among normies but I really liked it, I wish I could compete in the games.

if it’s a pure RPG or adventure game it makes sense for it to be story focused but otherwise yeah

Movies shows sex havers and foids too much and i can't stand them talking and interacting with each other. At least in games i don't have to deal with them much. Yeah they appear here and there but its alright. The foids in games look less realistic as well, which makes them slightlyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more bearable. The less a thing resembles foids, the less it tilts me. I hate the cutscenes and dialogues where foids are involved. Depending on the games they can be present in little to bare bones quantity. But the movies are just long ass cutscenes. Movies just require to sit on your ass, where as in games there is at least a bit of skill involved. I learn the mechanics of the game and try to improve my skills. It feels good and satisfying to be able to play the game in a better way, better than when i just started playing it.

i played that piece of trash god of war 2018 and it felt like i was watching a movie, shit game

PS1 made movies worthless as it gave you 60 hours RPGs on 3-4 discs. You have to wait years for a trilogy of movies. Gaming will always be a better experience.

ye movies will never replicate the experience even the ps1 gave. I played Silent Hill 1 just a years ago and it was a better experience than any movie, even with its 2 pixel graphics. They'll never match the unsettling experience the mansion gave from RE1 or PT or the masterpiece that was SH2.

I hear u on that, while I still enjoyed it for what it was, its not as great as the GOW of old from the greek mythology which defined Kratos as a vengeful spartan badass not some woke arse dad with an annoying kid to ferry around.

I agree. The last movie I saw in theaters was Cars 2 back in 2011 or some shit. Last movie that I ever saw period (that wasn't anime) was I think Green Lantern back in 2013. I think movies suck for the most part and are Hollyweird Jew slop, though there's a lot of older horror films that I still want to watch that I haven't yet.

TRVTH. FVCKING. NVKE. Full stop.

I just watched Robocop which was watchable but still shit, that's basically how I feel about most movies. I always come away feeling unfulfilled, maybe its my depression or my shit tv but regardless I'm always underwhelmed with movies.
