I feel like that was the last time Ukraine trully had negotiating room. Now Russia is the one advancing and has reclaimed almost all their lost territories in Kursk. But in early 2023 Russia was sending Wagner prisoners to die in Bakhmut by the thousands and if Ukraine wanted to negotoate that was the time. Russians were even building trenches in Crimea because they thought the reddit offensive would be more sucessful than it was. But nowadays Jewropean Union wants to send Ukrainians to die for territory they can never hope of reclaiming.
