Was playing a demo of new jprg from falcom mostly a remake of their old game trails in the sky. mostly watched cutscenes didn't got to play the game because fucking power cut happened. I actually liked how goofy the cutscenes were. Haven't got to try combat as of it now

I will wait till full version. I hope translation is better than dogshit og localization. I'm glad that it's getting global release unlike YS X that got delay as usual an then they butt raped anyone that purchased og game by releasing another version for $$$. Ofc it's also getting a delay and no discounts for existing customers that've bought ys x :feelskek:

Finished the demo and here are my thoughts:

I find the colors a bit oversaturated and i didn't see an option to disable Bloom Effect which only makes it worse in my eyes.
I think the atmosphere is a bit too happy and cheery while in the original (as i remember) was slightly more serious and dark. In the quest where you go to find the two kids, the original had more tension and worries about the kids while in this was just having a fun walk in the park, same with the miners.
Monsters don't look menacing enough but that was also true in the original, the difference is that the anime graphics combined with the oversaturated colors make them have a more "cute" look which i despise.
Having to use two combat systems is somewhat of a killjoy for me. They should've used the one or the other but in all honesty i don't like the pseudo-action combat at all, maybe if it was a regular action combat things would be different.
Lastly the game is unsurprisingly (self) censored and what's even more infuriating is that most of the censorship is related to what foids and trannies might find offensive.
Seeing how in gaming forums (such as Reddit & GameFaqs) are cheering on the changes and gang-up on anyone who expresses displeasure on censorship, i am going to bet that this is going to get shilled a lot by youtubers/influencer in the upcoming days, and the normie-retard-consoomer as usual is going to hype-buy in an instant.

In the end of the day i am still going to give the full game a shot but sure as hell i am not going to pay for it.

And it's woke. Just like the og localization. So much for "faithful brand new translation". Cucked feminist garbage.

Played a bit of demo and compared it to the og and it's night and day when it comes to combat and exploration. I like now both real and turn based modes. Yes turn based mode become more simplified but it's faster, old system barely worked as you couldn't move whenever you wanted and attack in the same turn without only picking attack. I don't like how city feels much smaller and guild went from feeling pretty big with 4 quest boards to just one, scale is much smaller now. Localization feels as bad as the original so not much have changed :society:

the original wasn't even that good, boring af
