To some degree I think what's happened with Charlie Kirk helped me to understand the woke phenomenon more

Because... I'm right-wing but it made me feel more authoritarian. Like I wanted to push my values more strongly.

So I guess I understand why the left when left to their own devices spiral more and more and more towards this very extreme, authoritarian form of what they believe.

I mean, personally I don't think I would ever go super authoritarian or extreme with my views and I don't know about the rest of the right-wing, but it does help me to see how it can go further and further until we get the kinds of wild views and control we see from the left now.
