yeah, my parents took my brother to an autism support group (not exactly but cba explaining properly) and there was not one person there, that wouldn't be better off in life without autism. Especially the low functioning autists. There were adults there unable to form proper words. Sure they may not feel bad about their life, but I assume that's mostly because they don't even realise their life could be better. You can't tell me his life wouldn't be massively better if he had no autism at all. Whenever someone tells me autism is actually a good thing I just assume they're the mother of an ipad kid or just faking autism for whatever reason.
I was genuinely surprised when I found out, that the reason normies "boycott" autism speaks is, because autism speaks advocates for autism cures. That is literally a good thing. Why would I, as an autist, NOT want that?
