I think the biggest con ever pulled on the entire history of humanity was foids convincing the avg man that they are this complex, diverse and complete mystery 'twilight zone' beings all together.

All the while, there has never being a being so adamantly clear about his intentions, needs and overall simplemindedness as a female.
