The word "voluntary" is defined as "proceeding from the will or from one's own choice or consent" by the Merriam Webster's dictionary.

So when we say something is voluntary we mean it is an action done out of a persons free will, so the term "voluntary celibate" relies on the assumption that free will is an axiom, it is a fact of nature.

However, if one does not believe in free will then this can't be the case, because any action one does is not voluntary, it is involuntary because we have no choice in whether we do it. Imagine the universe to be a snooker game, if every condition of said snooker game was perfect to the n'th degree of accuracy, if every shot had the exact same velocity, then you can predict exactly what will happen in the following games if they too follow the conditions of the previous games exactly.

So in actuality, all voluntary celibates are involuntary celibates philosophically speaking, unless one can prove the existence of free will somehow (God for example).

It is just that in our society free will is granted as a fact, otherwise insittutions like the justice system would fall, and equally the philosophy of the bluepill would crumble.

Since you said there’s no free will, I stopped reading then. I didn’t choose to, since I don’t have free will.

Free will does exist in limited scope. But only after certain qualifications are met. If you have no money, you can't buy any ice cream. But, if you do have the money to afford ice cream, the question becomes: do I chose chocolate or vanilla?

In order to be voluntarily celibate, one has to already have the option to not be celibate in the first place. Yes, a Chad can decide to become a monk. Foids still want to have sex with him, but he's choosing to abstain. That would be voluntary celibacy.

Not even sure what the point of this thread is.

can we really choose to do anything

Absolutely, but only within the parameters of what's in your scope. For example, tonight, Chad can choose to fuck the blonde, the brunette, the red-head, or the Negress, or any combination thereof. What he chooses not to go for tonight, he can go for tomorrow. He has that choice.

Yes, some normies can choose to be celibate if they're religoustards or some such. If foids want them, they have the choice to have sex or not.

Yes, we really do choose SOME things within our abilities. But the option has to be there in the first place.

Wow, what a revelation :soy:
