The Habsburgs against Russia. The grandson of the last Austro-Hungarian emperor speaks about the need for the disintegration of Russia.

View: https://youtu.be/a9Rzts-GroE?si=5VN3dty9jmuhBTb6

Karl von Habsburg wants to take revenge on Russia for the First World War, where Austria-Hungary completely disintegrated.

No one has carried out a successful invasion of Russia yet.

The Central Powers in WW1 were successful
Russia can be invaded and some territories can be held, but it won't matter. The central powers lost on the western front, after which all their conquests did not matter, after which the movement for the independence of the states of the former empire and the Bolsheviks began to fight each other. Ukraine and Belarus were divided between the USSR and Poland in 1920. Latvia, Malta, Estonia, and Finland defeated the Bolsheviks.

Didn’t the Habsurgs plan to turn their Empire into a slavic dominated state to appease Slavic nationalists and to limit Russian influence and anti-Habsburg propaganda? Hitler spoke about this Mein Kampf
Not "Slavic dominated" but "Slavic emancipated"
there were a lot of things at play
wouldn't work anyways tbqhngl, such an amalgam with no national identity or shared history besides "we're ruled over by this family" was bound to fail in the age of nationalism and exactly because the Habsburg Empire was an oddity against nationalists is why Jews loved it to death

The Habsburgs always treated the Slavs well. In fact, the Habsburgs literally crushed German ethnonationalism for the sake of their multinational empire. One of the greatest commanders of the Austrian Empire was the ethnic Czech Josef Radetzky. Many Poles, Ukrainians, and Croats were great patriots of the Habsburg Empire. Poles and Ukrainians also lived in the Russian Empire, where they were Russified, while Poles and Ukrainians in the Habsburg Empire could safely preserve their culture, language and customs. Franz Ferdinand, being the heir to the throne, was married to some Czech noblewoman.

Eh, I'd say it depends. For once, they enforced Catholicism on the Hussite population of Bohemia, at the cost of a lot of lives. They were a bit better in the 19th century, but they've done a lot of appeasing towards Hungarians at the cost of Slavs, notably Croatians and I think most egregiously when the Slovaks rose up against the Hungarian Revolution in favour of Austria in return for an autonomous kingdom, only for that to be backtracked. This is basically what killed Austroslavism and the idea that the Habsburgs could be heralds for Slavs in Europe. They turned to Russia

The Habsburgs were the enemies of the German nationalists, since the Germans did not want to live in this empire and did not consider this hodgepodge from different nations to be their homeland. Even Hitler left there to live in the mostly pure German Hohenzollern empire, and he served in the German Imperial army, not in the Austro-Hungarian one. As far as I know, he sent some Habsrugs to prison and concentration camps, as he considered them enemies of the German people, but had good relations with of the Prussian royal Hohenzollern family.

Well, in Mein Kampf, Hitler lamented the "Czechization" of Austria and the suppression of German nationalism by the Habsburg state. The Habsburgs towards the end were pragmatists who recognized that ethnic homogeneity was necessary for the survival of their empire and chose to transform themselves into a slavic state. In the end, of course, it was all for nothing, as the collapse of the empire was inevitable.

They were not going to transform themselves into a "Slavic state", this is just German nationalist hysterics

The Empire could have survived, but the First World War killed it, as millions of casualties, cripples and defeats at the front challenged the authority of the Habsburg family, who ruled the connected Roman Empire, the Austrian Empire and Austria-Hungary for centuries. The Hungarians were loyal to the empire because they wanted to suppress other peoples within the Hungarian kingdom. The Poles were loyal to the empire, as the Habs did not want to assimilate them, as in Prussia or Russia. In fact, only the Czechs were the main opposition force of the empire, as they were offended that they were not given the same privileges as the Hungarians, and the Czechs were the third largest people of the empire after the Germans and Hungarians.

In fact, the authority of the Habsburgs was higher than that of the Hohenzollerns until Prussia defeated Austria in 1866 and Bismarck forced the Habsburgs to officially abandon their claims to the unification of Germany.
But the Habsburgs clung too tightly to their lands, which they had gained through marriage diplomacy for centuries. It is impossible to have a multinational empire without assimilating minorities into the dominant group.

Yes, Czechia was also the wealthiest and most industrialized region of the Empire after Austria itself.

The lands of Bohemia and Moravia were arguably more valuable than the lands of Hungary, but were granted less rights. This along with the competition between Czech and German industrial workers over employment fueled Czech nationalism.

I the Russian Empire was just as multinational, but unlike the Habsrugs, it actively tried to Russificired all its ethnic minorities, even Poles in the Tsardom of Poland were forbidden to receive education in Polish, and Polish children were literally beaten with rods for using Polish in schools of the Russian Empire.
The only people who retained cultural and linguistic autonomy were the Finns, and Nicholas 2 tried to Russify them, but instead created the Finns' independence movement.

Habsburgs
Von Habsburg wants to claim the title of King of Jerusalem. He's a descendant of Fulk of Anjou(founding Templar) through the House of Lorraine.

Late Romanov Russia was essentially ruled by Germans with links to the House of Hanover.

The Slavs suffered greatly because of the Ottoman Empire which was funded by the Jews(House of Mendes/Benveniste, nephew of Dona Gracia Mendes Nasi) And then coverso Jews blended into the Ottomans with the Sabbateans in the 17th century.

The Roman Catholic church wanted to keep the Ottoman's and Russians as an outside threat. This brought the European powers together many times to fight in shared wars.

I believe the Habsburg's were always very good pretenders. It's the Black Nobility and Jews that have all the power.
