I've heard people say this that it's so important to build a support network for if/when you run into difficult times.
I mean, to be honest I wouldn't say difficult times are inevitable. You might be killed instantly somehow or die in your sleep with no warning and then you may have never gone through difficult times.
But anyway...
I think it's a bit of a luxury? Like, for many of us, it's challenging enough trying to survive (let alone thrive!) in the present, let alone preparing for every possible future scenario.
You may not even survive long enough to fall back on that support network if your maintenance of your present day life was so poor that it finishes you off before then.
