This is what it feels like to interact with a woman and try keeping her interested:

Women often get close to men who don't even qualify as options in their eyes to vent their frustrations, ask for advice, and be entertained 24/7. Men fall for it and give their hearts thinking women will start to like them if they are good enough, which they never are.

This happens with married guys as well. They are constantly trying to lift the weight of performance, "got to prove myself to her, got to show her that i'm a male worth investing in, got to be better than her ex", meanwhile women don't do shit to improve themselves to men in 99% of cases.
