But modern medicine, electricity, automobiles, and other forms of technology have enriched our standard of living / quality of life.

Kaczynski was mistaken, he thought of technology/industrialization in black-and-white terms and not in the grey terms he should have thought of it in. This black-and-white moralistic thinking is probably what compelled/drove him to be overly zealous/radical in his actions and do violence.

Consciousness is exactly what is needed to create a system for its occupants to live their life to the fullest, to innovate, and to efficiently pass on the genes. Behind every successful animal is hundreds that have perished from hunger, predators, and disease. They feel pain and have emotion. Now in the case of our current society not prioritizing keeping woman in the place they need to be for everyone to succeed, it is simply proof that our societies are not modern yet. But with consciousness it is entirely possible. It may take many wars before humanity learns the lesson thats been taught already for thousands.

I don't see people looking beyond their biological impulses all that much. Using conscious effort to achieve so sounds more like female larping. I love men for their personality teehee. Just consider how much conscious effort it took to control foid hypergamy and how it all unfolded in a few decades. The current culture is all about going back to your animal roots and impulses by ending all conscious inhibitions. Except that cannot be done with our self awareness intact.
