When I was in middle school we had our fair share of talks about how dangerous bullying or abuse (both in real life and online) is, how it ruins lives, that you must tell it to a techer to stop it, etc. Talks by supposed experts, educators, psychologists, etc. But then when a real case of bullying happened the teacher shrugged it off saying it's just kids' stuff or even justifying it because the bully comes from a conflictive household, what the fuck! And when the victim is finally fed up and fights back it's him who gets the punishment for not telling the teacher and using violence instead

All that anti-bullying propaganda is pure virtue signaling you see, and now that I've grown up I see it's much preferable to use violence (most bullies will lose interest and move to a weaker target) and be expelled for some days or go to detention after class than telling one of the useless teachers. If any of my young cousins were bullied that would be my advice, fight back and don't care about the punishment. Punishment is temporary but bullying can fuck up your life.
