I rember when I was growing up in the late 2000s everybody was part of some subculture. music was a big part of people's identity. they dressed according to it. talked about it. formed friendships over it.
nowadays it's nothing new. everybody is a tiktok/instagram normie. music is abundant and free. it's no longer exciting. when I'm outside I no longer see metalheads, rockers, goths, scenes, hiphopers, ravers, punks, emos, hipsters, clubbers. I just see normies. it's probably cringe atp to care about music. tryhard. it used to be a form of expression. now it's just some beats under a tiktok :waitwhat:
not that I'm lamenting it too much.

I wish i was an emo chad in the 2000s :blackpill: drowning in scene and emo JBs:feelsohh:

i wish i could stick to a single subculture, but everything is so easy to access now, im into so many different stuff now that it feels impossible to stick a single thing.

weren't the emo foids very hypergamous back in the day tho ?
What if your the first Chad who takes their innocence? :feelsdevil:

Many emos were nerdy fags, being the one Chad on the block would guarantee you some play.

yeah but that's the thing. why would you want to or need to? I'm much the same. I've amassed a massive music collection over the years of all sorts. used to be rock only then electro house only. but limiting yourself in this fashion seems archaic to me atp

chad only is law no matter the time. but "nichemaxxing" was a thing back then, and that is how many have ascended I believe, even ltns. the lack of this probably contributes further to inceldom and isolation these days.

I went from freaking anime OSTs to instrumental Hip-Hop to IDM and ambient to Rock to shoegaze (subgenre of rock, but still) to lolicore/dance/electro to jazz fusion and im still sticking to most of them today. (much less for instrumental hip hop tho)

Because whores took over music, like everything else.

Yeah it sucks, it seemed a lot better back then compared to now

Society is rapidly becoming culturally monolithic. Distinct subcultures are becoming a thing of the past and you have a monolithic normie culture that absorbs the most superficial aspects of subcultures and filters out anything of substance from that subculture. We've all seen this happen with looksmaxxing. This has happened with things like "goth" and "emo" as well. I was never a goth or emo but I knew people who were, so I know enough to know it's more than just hairstyles and clothes. But that's all they are now, just aesthetics.

Distinct subcultures are a relic of a pre-terminally online society. They were the result of geographical location, isolation from mainstream culture, and people with a common genuine interest in something. People became a part of a subculture because there were a lot of members of that subculture in their local area and they made friends with people who introduced them to it. But now everyone is a terminally online introvert, who gets all of their opinions, interests and lingo from the internet, so geographical location is no longer a factor. And since almost everyone spends all their time on the same sites (Reddit, tik-tok, instagram) you're seeing more "sameness" across the general population.

I saw some bluepilled foid talking about how incels weren't real because everyone would just date inside their subculture. Even if that was true in the past. Today goth, emo, metalhead, anime loving, and nerd foids all date chad, and doesn't even matter if he knows anything bout their subculture.

I listen to this type of music and I love it, tbh. Discovering russian music for years now.
Btw, I have the same voice as the dude from the third song. At least there is that, I guess.

Btw this reminds me of this epic short film. Why can't movies be this epic. Just high energy, ultra testosterone, high adrenaline content right there.

I used to be an actual Gabber in my teens. In other words a hardcore raver, you could say.

Still listen to some tracks every now and then.
Used to also dress like them back then with Nike Aor Max Classic BWs, tight yeans, some harrington jacket or bomber jacket and a buzzcut.

I have not made a single friend and still remained an outcast.

Nowadays I literally dress like an outcast because I have learned that I don't belong in this soyciety or any soyciety.

I was part of a sub culture in my teens and that was over twenty years ago. I have not managed to ascend, even back then.

If you are ugly enough, low confidence and ND enough, the time period won't matter.

It did not matter for me.

I have always been a terminally online introvert :feelsbadman:
Not always, but I have turned into one back when the internet was still the old one, the OG, starting in 2000.

well put :bigbrain:

I thought it was just me becoming an adult over the years but you might be well right :worryfeels:

Can't watch it, even on newpipe since it's age restricted and I am banned from youtube.
Thats Best In hell, you probably will find it somewhere in the internet

Yeah, I have saved it to search for it later. Need to cope with vidya a bit and then go grocery shopping.

I will start leanmaxxing soon, again. It is tough shit, but I am getting too fat, tbh.

Im bulking now for nearly a year from 83 to 100kg

Damn you're heavy. Is that even healthy?
Probably not, I think even the amounts of Protein I consume are unhealthy. I dont even worry about the weight since I gained more muscles then fat

I've always been too deformed for any subculture :feelskek: except gamer permavirgin subculture I guess :feelskek: if you look like ass, every interaction in life feels like implicitly being asked "wtf are you doing this for" and "why are you still alive" simultaneously :feelsbadman: stuck in first gear
I thought it was just me becoming an adult over the years but you might be well right :worryfeels:
it occurred to me during my daily prowl :feelsdevil: barely any girls :feelsEhh: get hooked on such things anymore and if they do, it's some giga weirdo homesick for a time I've never lived pseudo nostalgia aesthetic thing

slaps :feelsLightsaber::smonk:

I mean, the point of subculture. It's subculture, it's under the surface of normies. You can't see this easily but even today there are people who are very serious about music and make it a big part of their persona.

I was not AS deformed as nowadays which is what makes it even worse.
I still have photos of myself from my teens I I genuinely have no clue what went wrong.
But maybe I am overestimating my teen self.

Mind you, I was never on any of those rave parties. People made it perfectly clear early on that I simply don't beling there, so I did not even bother.

In hindsight, I was never part of that subculture. I just dressed like it, listened to the music but nobody cared.
I am glad you like it, man. The text describes our lives too well.
I speak Russian too, so I understand it all.
It's about a failed suicide and being a cripple afterwards, wanting to live after all.

Lately I have come to enjoy older music and more natural music. But really, with age my taste in music has expanded and I can find joy in many genres.

I'm already at around 110kg now... terrible health in general.

Times have definitely changed. Sometimes I've also thought that I'm living through the exact same times as anyone little by little (kinda) realizing the stupidity and nonsense of the world... along with its cruelty and relentless sadism... but no, times really have changed, a lot. I mean times always changed. But the changes we see now... it's all way too plain. Little to none depth whatsoever. People are focusing more and more only on what they can directly experience.

Well Im not 100kg because of me eating that much, its because Im lifting and you will mostly gain fat if your bulking

Yeah yeah, you did say bulking. Still a thought I had.
edit: also not because of eating too much, but because of stupid body stuff.

If its only because of the weight top bodybuilders are around 130 to 140kg when they bulk. On the other hand they are famous to die before they are 40 so maybe a bad example.

Only retarda invest themselves that much into music and degenerate artists

idk you don't wanna be a fatass ngl :smonk:
Fascinating
:feelsUgh:

yeah probably but this decline is not due to collectively getting much smarter as a civilization in the past 15 years :feelshaha:

I can confirm, I am a metalhead since childhood they don’t know anything about music, bands or instruments they just dream and want frontmen good looking faggots singers like Kurt Cobain or Axl Rose.
