I wonder if anyone has ever gone skydiving and deliberately not pulled the parachute to die on impact. It’s probably the method with the highest probability of instant death, but I wouldn't say it's guaranteed, because as with almost everything there are strange outliers, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone has managed to survive a fall from an airplane at several thousand meters. Apart from being pretty safe compared to other rope methods such as jumping off buildings or bridges, it would also be a quite the final experience to plummet towards the earth from such a great height and at high speed.

The thrill and adrenaline rush you get from skydiving kicks your survival instinct into overdrive making it exceptionally difficult to intentionally refuse to pull your own parachute

That’s true. Maybe one could intentionally sabotage their own parachute or fly the plane themselves and bail without one.

It would be instant death, pretty much no matter where you land, there are aftermath pictures of skydivers with failed parachutes, they are practically dissolved into the ground.

No, you would still die a long time after the fall, and the pain would be intense. I would prefer to somehow obtain potassium cyanide, as it would kill me in one minute, and then I would simply lose consciousness as my blood would no longer be able to accept oxygen.

There's also a small chance that you'll physically survive, but you'll become disabled, making it even harder to commit suicide later. There's always a chance of breaking your spine but staying alive.

The pressure gauge would deploy the parachute automatically at certain altitude

People will do anything but just shoot themselves :feelskek:

It’s extremely hard to kill yourself. And doing it without any pain is impossible.

Not true if you pass out beforehand. For instance, you could use an exit bag with gases such as H2 or NO. You would become unconscious well before dying due to a lack of oxygen.

If you wanted to die from skydiving you would have to do a proper nose dive and keep it up until you hit the ground.

This way you would hit the ground head first.

I can't imagine one could survive that as you actually gain speed this way.
