Recently, I thought about something interesting.

TikTok is owned by a Chinese company, but the app’s main target audience is Western. More than that, there are two different versions of TikTok, one for China and the other for the rest of the world — which is suspicious in itself. I mean, what’s the reason for that? I’d say that as developers, they know best how harmful this app is to teenagers and how much it dulls their minds, so they want to prevent their own people from suffering the consequences of the algorithm while at the same time making money off the West. But on second thought, I don’t know how much they really care.

Probably it’s just a censorship issue; China is known for censoring and restricting freedom of speech.

So far, nothing new.

I spent some time on TikTok, and I noticed an interesting fact: profiles of feminist women get a lot of exposure, and especially videos that promote abortions. Trends on this topic get massive exposure, and girls post trend videos to gain followers and likes.

As a Chinese company, TikTok has an interest in promoting such trends and encouraging feminism and abortion culture. I’ll explain why.

As is well known, China’s economic advantage over the U.S. is manpower.

China’s huge population gives it the ability to exploit an enormous workforce for minimal pay.

If Americans valued family and tradition, and birth rates rose (because families would have more children), China would eventually start losing that advantage.

Therefore, China has an interest in promoting feminism and abortions in the West:
feminism > women invest in careers and have children late, if at all > birth rates plummet
abortions — same thing.

Another thing: TikTok’s main target audience is teenagers, who are obviously more easily influenced (especially teenage girls), and I don’t need to tell you that today’s teens are tomorrow’s leaders.

In addition, TikTok dulls the mind and trains it into laziness. Anyone who spends a lot of time on TikTok will tell you that over time it becomes harder and harder to concentrate on long movies or articles, because the brain gets used to 2-minute videos.

Why is that in China’s interest?

Teenagers get used to a life of dullness and inactivity > fewer brilliant minds, less investment in advanced studies > the Western economy loses power.

What do you think?

Social media platforms, such as TikTok, offer an avenue by which users can post brief or extended videos about health topics, such as abortion. In a pair of studies, we examined TikTok videos about abortion and users' abortion-related beliefs. In Study 1, a content analysis of TikTok videos (N = 397) found that the beliefs most frequently conveyed include abortion being a right, being a choice for individuals rather than lawmakers, and being healthcare and abortion bans being dangerous for women and harming sexual assault victims. Additionally, several beliefs co-occurred in these videos, such as abortion being a right and abortion being an individual choice. In Study 2, a survey of adults across the United States (N = 578) found that greater use of TikTok was associated with greater endorsement of some of the most frequently conveyed beliefs from Study 1 as well as stronger connections among beliefs in a manner consistent with the co-occurring themes identified in Study 1. These findings offer some preliminary evidence that TikTok use impacts users' abortion-related beliefs.

The thing is that China themselves also suffer from low birth rates (even worse than the US), but it is not because of feminism, but rather the fact that China has 30 million more men than women stemming from their one-child policy, and as a result of this gender imbalance you have this extreme level of hypergamy in China where the women are extremely materialistic (even more than any Western country) and hold impossibly high standards because the ratio of men competing for one woman in China is so skewed. Which is why ricecels are arguably the biggest demographic of incels in the world.

Of course.

Or at the very least they know how damaging it is.

In China almost all TT Feeds / all social media is educational.

chinese tiktok is also retarded. but with less porno stuff and harsher censorship.
the main reason for china to push tiktok is that they may use tiktok to gather information or manipulate global public opinion.

obviously wrong.

I've seen screenshots of it from someone I used to know from China, it is still definitely short form content which dumbs down your attention span but it's all CCP endorsed or educational to some extent.

Every country has more young men than young foids. In China, I'm pretty sure most foids live in shit conditions. Hypergamy is inevitable, no matter how much of a shithole a country is.
As for China's strategy, it is known for using cyber activity to wage psychological warfare against other superpowers. They spend millions on online bots. I think, even on Twitter, they like-bot misandrist posts to make them go viral.
