Luckily, I was in the vehicle and outran the dog. Vehicles like this have no doors though, and I had to make a very sharp turn as fast as possible to avoid the dog getting in. I then sped off full speed and the dog kept pace with it until I hit 35+ mph. ATV goes 55, so it was easy to outrun once I rounded the corner
