Experiment Should you use shampoo for your hair or no?

Good haircels gtfin here.
I'm growing my hair out and want a good quality hair texture.
I've heard that shampoo is a complete scam and it will just deplete your hairs natural oils over time. This makes sense considering people if the past didnt have shampoo and they where fine.
So do you guys use shampoo or not?
