Discussion Should i start a gofundme to buy myself a PC and how should i promote it?

I'm going insane since I have nothing to do all day, my phone is getting boring but I have no money to buy a PC so I'm just suffering like hell.

I could cope with AI tools, videogames or maybe even get a remote job if I'm lucky

There are a lot more possibilities with a even mid PC compared to a phone so I want one.

Where should I post my gofundme to promote it and do you think anyone would even spend any money? I'm desperate, it's worth a try.

I would be happy even with 400-500$ PC.

A very kind guy from here helped me out and sent me 400 dollars which should be enough for a used mid PC on facebook marketplace or new mid one from aliexpress.

I never expected someone from here would actually help me, I was asking for advice where to post my gofund me so it reaches enough people but here we are.

I'm very thankful to him and wish him good karma back

AIM for a DDR4 LGA 1700 setup, you could get a 14600kf, or i7 12700k for a really good price, and excellent performance. As with current ddr5 prices you will really be taxing your budget if you go other route

Thank you for the advice, do you think it's possible to get a rtx 2060 while also having enough for other parts? Cpu isn't as much of a priority as the gpu to me, I would be happy with a i5 10000+ cpu

ofc ofc, but since your budget is so tight try to aim for an i3 12100f, the platform has more upgrade potential and is really cheap too. I even think the i3 12100f performs better, despite being only 4 cores (its a way better architecture tho)

I'm from eastern european so my only options for cheap parts are facebook marketplace and aliexpress
