In nature animals are only "Selfless" when it comes to their own family, because preserving whatever family they have extends the duration of their gene lineage.
Even simping is a survival strategy, as desperate and sad as it is (like a fish inseminating a female fishes eggs while she is not looking).
The only problem is humans are delusional and believe we are unique and live under the guise of a fair and just world beyond the laws of nature.
