Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both (Evola has some TRVTH NVKES on foids) but I've always felt that I agree more with Guenon:
progressive loss of metaphysical knowledge;
materialization and quantification of life;
dissolution of traditional authority:
anti-tradition followed by “counter-tradition”
Those are all things we can all see clearly on both the west and even already on non western countries, the end of the Kali Yuga is an eventual catastrophic end of the cycle. For Guenon there's no stopping this. One may preserve or recover traditional initiation, but the overall movement of the age is cyclical and downward.
Evola on the other side, although he diagnosed very similar things and focused more on political matters I've always felt he's way too "activist" (Which is why he resonates so much with the Far Right)
What do you guys think?
