We don't enforce the "blatant spam" rule in the sewers. Posting "aaa" is fine.

But lately there have been constant complains about posting in every thread there just to get post count up, to the point that it seems it actually is a problem.

inb4 somebody says "well it's the sewers", yes it's the sewers but it's for everybody to use not for a select few to hijack. Not to mention the admin has said explicitly that this kind of posting is not allowed. But the admin and the mod refuse to even comment on this ridiculous situation.

Should we (rarely, and only if necessary and we see reports) take action to prevent this from now on?

In particular we're talking about: Mass creating threads AND mass replying to different threads - both clog the front page of the sewers which is the problem at hand.

I've said I want postmaxxers banned and dead and whatnot but I really don't want to ruin anything for anyone.
The thing is this is making the sewers unusable for others.
I'm rather new here but ever since I joined people who wanted to postmaxx would mainly stick to counting threads (like highest quantity of X) and left room for others to post threads in the sewers. Even @Jungle as far as I remember never did this before and was considerate. But then @proudweeb came along and he started doing this and then others saw him doing it and not getting warned so naturally they thought it was ok and did the same thing. Can't really blame them.

Point being, people should have the decency to realize that they are ruining the place for everyone when bumping threads like that. Because others won't be able to use it anymore. And yes, if someone keeps doing this to such extremes they should be warned by the moderators not to do so.
And people who like postmaxxing can always do so in the counting threads without hijacking the main page and I don't think anyone will be bothered by that.
