Serious Inceltears and the infantilisation of Autistic Adults

Now, I've always promised myself that I'd talk publicly about r/Inceltears here, I don't subscribe to the utterly frivolous and pointless 'war' between us and them; It's a waste of our time and theirs, It's completely unproductive for either party.

But today, I've decided it's prudent to bend my own rule, I've wanted to talk about this subject for a few months now, deliberately putting it off in the hopes that somebody would cover it in that time? But alas; it appears the responsibility is my own. Consider this not an attack (we've had enough of those), but an appeal.

To preface, I myself am not an autistic individual, but as aforementioned, I have noticed this for months and feel compelled to voice my concerns, over the course of my life, I have become acquainted with a number of diagnosed autistic individuals both on this forum and off of it.

A common thread you'll inevitably witness on IT is a thread showing incels.is post (or similar) where the OOP will mention having autism (not necessarily claiming that it's the reason why they're a virgin, simply just stating they have autism) and in the comments to said thread, you'll virtually inevitably see multiple people claiming that they must be lying about having autism, that they are self-diagnosed (as though the concept that an autistic person couldn't possibly join an incel forum) which is evidenced here:

It interested and confused me that IT's immediate reaction to seeing self-described autistic people posting here was to assume that they weren't actually autistic, which begs the question: Why don't IT believe autistic people are capable of being on an incel forum? Why isn't it believable that autistic individuals are not just members of this community but massively overrepresented here as well?

Ableism.

It's ableism.

Let me elaborate, IT sees participating in incels.is as an act of immorality, an evil action and unconsciously believe that autistic people are these pure innocent beings (children essentially) that don't have the capacity to intentionally commit an act of (what they deem to be) evil. This sort of infantilisation of autistic people is actually very widely documented (as evidenced by the linked study), I'm sure that the autistic users here have experienced people talk down to them after finding out they had autism, most people naturally hold unconscious biases against autistic people.

To examine the hypothesis that the disability of autism is frequently infantilized, we analyzed the role played by parents, charitable organizations, the popular media, and the news industry. We found that parents portrayed the face of autism to be that of a child 95%of the time on the homepages of regional and local support organizations. Nine of the top 12autism charitable organizations restricted descriptions of autism to child-referential discourse. Fictional characters depicted as autistic were children in 91% of fictional book sand 68% of narrative films and television programs. The news industry featured autistic children four times as often as they featured autistic adults in contemporary news articles. These data support our hypothesis. But why this is the case confuses me further since it reveals an interesting example of cognitive dissonance on the part of the people that believe that the autistic users of this forum must be LARPing in regards to their autism: I'd be willing to wager that the vast majority of those aforementioned people dislike and condemn the actions of Elon Musk, an autistic man (whose autism is evident not just in terms of his diagnosis, but his behaviours such as his speech patterns, stimming, and lack of eye contact) which raises the question: If you believe that Elon Musk, an autistic man, could be what you consider to be a hateful bigot, then what's so hard to believe about several 'hateful bigots' here also being autistic? There's no reason to doubt their claim that they're autistic, unless of course you believe autistic people are glorified children that can't possibly be bad people. 'Benevolent' ableism is still ableism.

"But Moth!" I hear the goyim cry, "Who's to say that these people are actually diagnosed professionally with autism and aren't just self-diagnosed?" And that's a fair question, I'm sure there are a considerable chunk of the self-professed autistic users here that aren't actually autistic, but to baselessly (without any concrete evidence) claim that the majority of self-professed autistic people here have no formal diagnosis is outrageous. Months ago, I wanted to find out how much of the forum was actually diagnosed with autism so I made a poll.

Here were the results:

Considering that there are only around ~200 active users on .is currently, extrapolating from 79 responses should still be fairly accurate. As shown here, not only do diagnosed autistics on the forum outnumber self-diagnosed autistics, diagnosed autistics are also overrepresented on incels.is by over 3000%.

And not only is this figure reasonable, in my opinion it's expected.

I'm assuming that IT users think that members of .is have been radicalised into 'extremism', well, operating under your assumption, let me outline to you why autistic men would be the most susceptible to (and the perfect target for) 'radicalisation' into becoming blackpilled and joining an incel forum.

Autistic people are far more likely than the average person to feel socially isolated which, given the challenges they face in terms of understanding social cues, contributes to autistic people self-identifying as significantly lonelier than non-autistic individuals (as shown in the linked study) as well has having significantly higher rates of clinical depression and low self-esteem (as also linked).

Autistic adults have reported higher levels of loneliness.

As predicted, autistic people had significantly lower personal self esteem, and higher depression and anxiety, than TD controls. Whilst prior research has demonstrated that autistic people have poorer mental health than typically developing populations, to our knowledge this is the first study that demonstrates that autistic people report significantly lower levels of personal self-esteem than controls.

Based upon this, would it not be obvious of me to state that such individuals are most likely to seek out such places in search of a community of similar lonely and often times self-hating individuals that are willing to engage with them and make them feel valued and human? The data in the blackpill that points to how one's success in the dating market (and life in general) is largely due to factors outside of one's control would also presumably incredibly comforting to an autistic individual who had been previously blaming and resenting themselves for their past failures. In fact, reading back to myself, I'm surprised autistic people don't make up an even greater percentage of our community.

Nearly everybody on IncelTears claims to be autistic. It is insane. I'm famous for doxxing their users, and trust me: If you saw how many of them claimed to be autistic, or at least have some kind of mental illness...you'd realize it's not a coincidence that they're posting there.

I can't tell if they're retarded, "autistic," or just lying when they pretend not to understand basic logic and the simplest figurative language. Excellent post, Moth. I have noticed this myself, where they come up with some unsubstantiated cope(e.g, all of the autists here are self-diagnosed liars) in order to dismiss our arguments and experiences. I'm glad someone finally bothered to seriously address this.

This kind of calm argumentation is how we should handle IT, and considering how fucking delusional and retarded many of their claims are, really isn't a difficult task for the high iqcels here.

Y'know, it wouldn't actually surprise me at all if autistic people were overrepresented in terms of the most obsessive IT userbase, I don't think that them using figurative language necessarily disproves that, autistic people still use it, they're just less likely to pick up when others do so (especially when it isn't a common turn of phrase in conversations that they're used to).

1. Be bad looking;
2. Get mistreated because of your bad looks;
3. Feel bad around people because you got mistreated;
4. Behave in ways deemed not socially acceptable because you feel bad around people;
5. Consider yourself "an autist".

I just disagree with the supposition that the vast majority of the self-proclaimed autistic users are self-diagnosed, I'd argue there's reasonable evidence to support that a majority of the users that say they have autism actually do and that the claims that IT makes about the vast majority of .is users being self diagnosed is merely conjecture that doesn't have any basis in real evidence.

It is generally agreed upon by social scientists that the percentage of neurodivergent individuals in these types of communities is higher than in society at large. And it's true, I think. But both statements are not contradictory. Meaning:
1. Majority of users on .is claim they are autistic, yet they are not; and
2. There are more autists on .is than there are in Walmart.
Both statements are true.

I didn't intend to frame these as contradictory, that was my mistake. I only asked because it ultimately doesn't really matter if the majority of self-professed autistic users here aren't autistic (which we cant definitively prove either way), my initial appeal directed at IT still holds water if you believe that autistic people are overrepresented here. I just wanted to see if you actually agreed with that. It wasn't supposed to be a 'gotcha' moment lol.
