Poland despite being strong Catholics and the only country in Europe that bans abortions, still somehow has a fertility rate in 2022 of only 1.26. Poland in 2020 had 38,265,000 people.

If Poland were to radically decline in population over time, how secure is Poland against Russia(or possibly Germany in the future). The smaller it got the less secure Poland would be. If Poland had like 10 million people on such a big area it would be a sitting duck for Russia. Relying on America to save them also is risky, yes its part of their strategy but you have to build a multi-layered strategy.

If Russia was very powerful down the road the West might want to negotiate with Russia and say take half of Poland, instead of risking a world war.

That's a Victorian-era mindset, assuming that giving land to different countries will just solve international issues
Russia would not risk war with NATO, the Baltic states all have a combined population of 6 million and that doesn't mean Russia will invade or ever will since it's just risking a nuclear war

That would never happen.

Right now it wouldn't happen because the West would just get behind Poland all the way. But its easy to do when Russia is relatively weak and the West is strong and united.

Also what if the EU starts pushing Poland around and they want out, but a German led EU army is demanding Poland change its laws and accept EU appointees to run Poland.
