If so, I agree, people often make positive stereotypes about civilizations based on assuming that everyone there was a Chad and Stacy

Even in the modern day, koreaboos and some weebs will pretend that all Koreans/Japs are Stacies and Chads when bigging up those cultures. In your own country, you have to run into average men and incels too, so they idealize foreign countries where they can just ignore everyone other than Chad + Stacy
