I think you should be good if the market has recovered by then with one internship. But if it hasn't you might have to settle for less than ideal. Worst case if the upcoming recession becomes like 2008, try to have back up careers. With CS degree, many back up careers still possible.

i used to think the same but my expenses grew and grew older I got due to literal inflation and life style inflation. Now I can't live without my spa Maxx, food Maxx copes. And this is pretty costly. It is hard to go back down. So I have no choice but to grind harder.

for dev position 75-80k minimum nationally. 90k+ if in big city. if you can grind the leetcode bullshit then you can do a lot better with 100k+. although the highest paying employers are the ones doing most lay offs or hiring freezes atm
