This Chad who was in the army (stereotypical) and had a pretty girlfriend etc. Then all of a sudden he gets horribly injured in the line of duty and becomes NonChad, the girlfriend feels obliged to stay with him as to not look shallow. She marries him, (check out the "Happy" couple 
) then they split up, apparently it was a "mutual" decision, though we know that she just wanted rid of him because he was a melty faced weirdo. Then melty face commits suicide:
