I wonder what's the reason why Japan is the only one whose number of tourists in the US had declined in that period? Could be a decline in real wages due to their peculiar economy, but even that's a bit of a hard sell, since if anything, moving across countries had become easier.

Still a pretty decent proof that people internationally are truly getting richer over time to see the increasing numbers of people capable of affording travelling into and in one of the world's richest and most expensive countries.
