There is some overall slow decline hitting Europe as a whole and Western Europe in particular, that place isn't the center of the world it had once been at all, but a "fall" or a "collapse" are just wishful thinking from thirdworlders who wish to "turn the tables". In fact, the opposite is the problem. Even with Europe's overall slow decline, none of the rich WE countries are at risk of falling even into the upper-middle-income category, while on the other hand, the amount of countries which have any chance becoming rich is quickly falling down. Recently I've seen people joking/speculating that Vietnam, SEA's star when it comes to economic growth, will be the last country that becomes rich. 90% of the third world is on the road to become old before becoming rich, and much more than whatever happens in Europe, that will have massive implications for the world.
