Serious My mental breakdown told me not to do a PhD

I had a mental breakdown in college alone and got a 1.96 GPA the first semester... I will never forget that as a reminder of how much I should not do a PhD due to too much stress... a PhD takes 4-7 years and I would rather go to the industry then do a PhD. This is my decision, considering a college STEM degree from a top school is hard enough.
