I was in 5th grade approximately.
In the playdium there were a lot of slides and obstacle courses and bouncy ball castles.
My parents told to go make some friends with other kids. So I went and I said hi to this white girl around my age since everyone there was white and she gave me a “ew” look and ignored me. Nobody wanted to play with me, but, I didn’t think much of it and continued going on the slides and having fun.
I wish I had that same careless mindset now. Everything changed after puberty and I was getting attracted to girls and every rejection seemd personal. Even if they didn’t say hi or thank you after I held the door.
