I have chronic illnesses, had to have 4 vertebrae pinned together with a 7 month sickbed after, I have never kissed a girl at 23 years old, I haven't had anything resembling a friend in 12 years. My family is poor and so am I. People call me ugly to my face irl, including strangers. I'm often randomly bedridden and I have insane chronic fatigue (imagine narcolepsy but you don't fall asleep, just kind of shut down).

The upside is that due to my EDS I'm due to be dead by the time I'm 50.

This just doesn't exist. There's insomnia, narcolepsy, and there's fatal insomnia, but that's so rare and dangerous I just don't believe you have it. You do sleep, you just don't know. "Not falling asleep" just doesn't exist; if it does I'm happy to look at evidence (except fatal insomnia, because then you'd die). My uncle was literally a sleep specialist.

I literally said it's NOT narcolepsy, you should imagine these waves of persistent unignorable fatigue (the body and mind no longer being able to function due to chronic fatigue), waves that have nothing to do with sleep, rest, exercise, diet, but purely with a genetic disorder (I was diagnosed aged 7 by a clinical geneticist/EDS specialist, my brother also has it and we got it through our mother)

Ohhh no that's poor wording, I didn't know you interpreted it that way. I meant that, like how with narcolepsy you can suddenly fall asleep, with EDS chronic fatigue your energy balance isn't based on external factors so it can just collapse horribly, randomly, below a level where you can function reasonably in your daily life, and often enough to a level where it's impossible to do the things you WANT to do and enjoy, not just fulfill your duties.

Ah ok, now I understand, sorry. Dude I can literally relate. I also have a chronic inherited condition, it has caused my 5'4 height and also chronic fatigue. I have to takes meds against some of my issues and these also have side effects like sluggishness etc. I study online and should work on my final long essay but I can't. I relate to you.
