Almost every modern game hailed as a masterpiece is forgotten within a few months. It really goes to show that normies don't actually love most of these games. They consume them and then move on and never touch them again. They only religiously defend and praise them when the hype phase is prominent. Who's talking about the supposed masterpiece that was Super Mario Odyssey, or Silent Hill 2 remake, or God of War Ragnarok? Barely anyone. These games are already irrelevant because they don't offer real replayability. Tears of the Kingdom is a game that's only relevant again because Nintendo rereleased it on switch 2.

These normies don't love games. They love getting excited for new games.

How come you haven’t killed them in gta v yet

What do you think of Halo? My favorite was and still is halo 3, I stopped playing after 343 fucked everything up, I still play it and first time I played it was around 2008. Was hooked ever since

I'm a big fan of Halo CE (not the shitty remaster)
2 I'm not a fan of
3 campaign wise isn't as good as 1 but it's an improvement over 2. I enjoyed the multiplayer tho.

Halo 4 is atrocious and somehow has worse level design than 2. Halo 5 is somehow even worse.

Level design of 4 is definition of shit.
Open ended, encounter driven sandboxes that let you experiment with the tools Bungie laid out like a rich combat playground are gone. In Halo 4 every mission felt like a corridor. Flat art directed hallways with nothing to explore and nowhere to move.
Felt more like a bad Mass Effect 2 DLC.
Prometheans are some of the worst AI encounters in FPS history. Knights teleport constantly (killing any chance at tactical flanking), Watchers revive them or shield them like some demonic MOBA mechanic, and Crawlers just swarm with hitscan spam. There’s no dynamic behavior like Bungie’s Elites who’d flank, dodge grenades, or retreat under pressure.

I sometimes take 30 minutes to go through my old ps2 collection of games, most seem better than today's trash

:feelssus::feelssus::feelssus: where is helldivers now faggots
where expedition 33
where is oblivious remastered
its just flavor of the month shit. I remember even 10 yearsa go these mutants in my school had like 100000 steam games in library because they would follow lets players during the lets play hype, buy the game these letsplayers were playing and then drop it a week later. Battlefield, Day Z, arma, subnautica - reminder that statistically like 80% of game are never finished because normies just dont give a fuck once they cant leverage a game for social clout anymore. They hate singleplayer games too.

when i got the first half life game back in day, i had to play the shitty censored german version on a 4:3 aspect ratio ibm thinkpad r40, and I played that entire game at least 2 times start to finish. I didnt know how normies operated, that i have autism, that they dont feel compelled to finish shit at all. I finished every single game I played.

:bigbrain:

Yep, it's more of a social event + excitement over buying something more than anything else.
They waste so much money. Personally, I couldn't blame anyone for finishing Red Dead redemption 2. I dropped that game an hour in. Absolute snore fest.

Normies just live for the sense of belonging to the crowd. If people are hyping up a certain game right now means I should've played it yesterday before it even released to be on the same page with everyone. Otherwise I'm hopelessly out of touch, who would I share my very valuable (not) experience and opinions with? All along till the next current thing.

This happens to everything nowdays and not just games
