Although remember, modern christianity ≠ christianity. Modern Christianity allows the sin and progressiveness - and all denominations have been influenced by it. Even catholic/orthodox.

You'll have these orthodox adherents going to confession and putting on a false costume for God one day of the week, then all the other days they live a completely different life.
