It appears that society recently has been comparing the "modern christians" and their openly sinful actions, with Christianity and following Christ.

These "modern christians" are heretics who preach a false doctrine, in which they don't even follow themselves.

It makes us true christians look bad, and turns people away from Lord.

The Bible warns against being religious, and instructs us to not follow religious practices. For this is for our own self righteousness and not of the Lord. It is an act of self pride and will lead to judgement.

The Lord calls us to follow him and to have a personal relationship with him, rather than to commit to religious acts.

I mean, I'm not going to go out of my way to say that you're wrong... but doesn't that seem a bit ridiculous? At that point, wouldn't religion—or in the case of Christianity, salvation—be naught more than just a 'suggestion?'

I think it all started first with preaching salvation by both faith and works and not faith only. The next step is turn prioritize works only . So now they preach , just be a good person but what then defines a good person?

Not at all, Gods message has been made clear to us:
Be born again of the water, and receive the holy spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.

Religious acts include kissing Jesus/Marry's feet, doing the son/father/holy spirit sign, christening from birth, etc.

And you mentioned that salvation be more of a suggestion? ---> Salvation is what we must do in order to go to heaven ----> But we have a choice in whether or not we get saved of course.

But salvation is not a religious practice, rather a practice we do for the Lord - I mentioned that religious practices fall under self righteousness and should not done. Not all practices in the church are religious. Praying, reading the bible, this is all done to have a close connection with the Lord as he wants for us.

The vast majority of the forum would be in the position.
For example seeing a girl with a cross necklace, but promiscuous. They will then make the assumption that this is a true christ follower, when in reality she is far from it.

Yes, they will read ONE section of the bible that says "any man with faith will enter into his kingdom", and think all they have to do is believe in God. But like you said, what defines a "believer".

These people will leave out all the other scriptures that say that clearly there is more to it. Like in John 3:3 for example:
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

I might formulate another post on it's own for this as uses here will benefit lots from it.

He had been a priest for a month at a Protestant church, and I was his online student. We got along very well until I discovered Blackpill, and my perspective on life changed 180 degrees. I found the pieces that helped me realize his manipulative tactics as he tried to convert me. After that, I left and used logic to denounce the Christian group on his forum. Although I won logically, I was subjected to insults, ad hominems, calls for suicide, doxxing, etc. My teacher sent me the most hateful insults and advised me to kill myself simply because I didn't do what he wanted.

A person must accept they are a sinner and that Jesus is the only salvation. Then confess with belief in the heart that Jesus is Lord and rose from death.

To me there are three main points.

God exists in the Father, Son and Holy spirit.

Jesus died for our sins as thd only sacrifice which reconciled man back to God .

We need that sacrifice!


I think water baptism and the baptism of the Holy spirit are good next steps after salvation but not absolutely necessary for salvation .

I would actually repent and convert back if Christianity would have a coherent doctrine. Not to mention the whole Stockholm syndrome shit most followers exhibit when following God. It would be nice if your god was as humble as he claims to be. You know, not sending you to hell for calling his bs out and actually take accountability for his actions like any humble entity would. I'd say the morals put in place by God are objective, but obviously an atheist would believe otherwise.

If we follow any of the morals God put in place, our life will be bound to improve - as mentioned in the bible... "a blessed, more purposeful life."

And in the old testament, ALL Amalekites were ordered to be killed as a death penalty for their extreme cruelty and hostility toward Israel. If they were not all wiped out they would continue their persistent acts. There is more to it but I haven't read the passages in years.

In a biblical sense yes.

Well rules exist independently, but the moral reality is grounded in Gods word.
Without God, there would be no morals.
God has given us objective morals to live by. Without following God, all morals are subjective.

And God > Science, the science only proves that God is true. Every factually correct article will be in favour.

The problem is I'm just not convinced a god is real, I can't reject god if I've seen no evidence.

God burns non-believers, "Love me or burn" is not freewill that's fucking coercion.
