Today will be a shorter post but I hope a meaningful one.
What does the Bible say on salvation anyway?
You must be born again , so then what is born again? Here is John 3:1-5
Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus[a] by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
By water and spirit refers that one must first be born of a woman and it ancient Israeli talk to be born of water, because a woman's water breaks before birth. and to be born of spirit is when accepts Jesus Christ and receives the Holy Spirit. So how do you receive Jesus Christ ?
Romans 10:9
"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. "
Say a prayer like this: Lord God I understand that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself and that Jesus is the only savior. I today confess him as Lord and I confess he rose from the dead, I pray in the name of Jesus Amen!
