What upsets me most about the message of the song is all of her followers saying shit like how she's "Sticking up to society's view" or "challenging the status quo".
First of all, she's a pop singer and so her manager would only let her put out a song if it gets support by the largest possible demographic, and secondly, it getting propelled so much (its already on the top of trending though I doubt people actually use that) shows it is anything but challenging the viewpoint society """"wants you to have"""".
