This is one of the worst games I've played in a long time. The game has the audacity to begin with a ten, twenty minute cutscene with some of the worst voice acting I've heard. If you're going to force me to listen to a character talk for more than an hour then please do not make him sound like a shitty Batman impression.
After having skipped the cutscenes I began playing the game and I have to ask, how tf is this game highly regarded? I remember having fun playing it a little when I was younger but now playing it currently can say that it's mediocre at best.
The major problem with it is the stealth gameplay. I find it funny that Kojima cared so much about immersion as to force the tedious heal system where you have to manually scroll through menus to heal; yet apparently he considered being able to change your camo when you're right next to an enemy immersive! Can they not hear Snake fumbling around and changing his clothes? Anyway that doesn't really matter. What matters is the stealth is basically Simon says. Every time you move you have to scroll through the menu and pick the right camo the game tells you and then you're set. There's no strategy involved. Just pick the right color and the enemies won't see you! This isn't heart throbbing exciting stealth gameplay. This is just tedious
